Welcome to Afghans Etc. For Charity
Our group is a crochet for charity group. We are non-profit and all of our crocheted items are donated to charity. Our group is composed of BIG HEARTED and LOVING members. We all give of our time and talents to crochet for the children. We all furnish our own supplies and sometimes we have supplies donated to us. We make all kinds of crocheted, knitted and quilted items such as afghans, chemo hats, slippers, tote bags (filled with goodies), backpacks, layette sets, shawls, etc. Anything that can be used by children from newborns to teenagers. Our group owner makes special requested items. A parent or family member can contact Roger and he will make whatever is requested.
Our goal here at Afghans Etc. for Charity is to bring a little happiness and sunshine into the lives of the children. We target the children that are suffering with cancer, leukemia, and other related childhood dieases, or just in need.
One of the organizations we contribute to is, St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital here in Memphis, Tennessee. At St. Jude, the doctors and scientists from all over the world work deligently to find cures and treatments for childhood cancer. At St. Jude no child is turned away because of income or lack of insurance. In fact the families of these children never recieve a bill.
